Their love story is like a Disney movie without a happy ending.
“Damn you, witch!” he cursed beneath his breath. The heart-shaped lock was all he has left of her as the witch cast a sliver of her soul into the lock before condemning her to the castle for eternity. The only way he could save her was to find a way to access the inside of the lock and retrieve the sliver of her soul.
Unfortunately, he isn’t the kind of prince charming who tries his darnest to rescue his beloved because, well, he lives in the real world as opposed to the witch and his beloved. Unlike him, they are in the fairtale realm where magic exists.
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Access”.

A Disney fairytale without a happy ending is accurate for this story!

I guess it goes to show not all prince charming are willing to try hard for a happy ending.

One wonders what she did for the witch to lock her up.

I think the witch is just being a typical Disney witch – always bored and must be the villain.

Then maybe it’s time one of them sang a song 🤷🏻♀️

I hope he finds, in spite of living in the real world, how to “retrieve the sliver of her soul”.

I think if he would just try a little harder, he might find that tiny spark of magic he needs to crack open that lock.

Perhaps he’s overlooking something in his own world.
