H is for Hysteria.
As someone with anxiety issues, I have experienced hysteria before. I’m sure it has something to do with my overactive imagination. Scenario after scenario, I wish I can will it to stop even for a moment. Or perhaps it has something to do with my surrounding and environment?

The only hysteria I’ve seen are those shown in movies and books. If that is as off as the way childbirth is shown, I wonder what an actual experience of hysteria is.

I feel the situation would have to be incredibly bad for one to truly experience hysteria, although I feel with a stress life, one will always be on the verge – always just a step from hysteria.

I have encountered hysteria in others but haven’t experienced it myself

I think I’ve been on the verge of hysteria a few times but I don’t believe I’ve ever truly experienced it. I feel hysteria can be compared to a mental meltdown.

It is a melt down. A young person I know used to have these attacks and we would hand him a paper bag to breath in. The high concentration of carbon dioxide in the air restores the balance.

I’ve learned to just fill my mouth with air and blow out when I am feeling too overwhelmed.
