#SundayStills: Amazing #Earth

I don’t think there’s been a day where I’m not moved by the Earth’s beauty. Just looking around me, I see the clouds, the mountains, the river, the streams, all part of Earth.

I was at the Tulip Festival yesterday, amazed by all the beautiful blooms, while being mindful of the weather. According to the weather forecast, the rain was supposed to hold off until I’ve walked through but according to the claps of thunder and the lightning strikes, it felt like rain was imminent.

I was glad to had brought my trusty long lens to capture this view before me. Rain had apparently made it to the mountains.

I wasn’t always into nature and gardening. I don’t know when that started, perhaps in the last decade or so. I can’t remember the person I was before and I cannot imagine ever stop interacting with nature. Nature is a part of Earth and it’s a beautiful part at that.

This photo is my favorite from the festival. It’s part of the Waterfall garden – the last garden before the tour came full circle. Instead of looking at flowers, the garden is a parade of waterfalls, one after another. With the day being so gloomy, I could do a long-exposure without needing a filter (which I did not bring). This is a 0.5 second handheld with the camera resting on a metal railing. I also did a one-second shot but I liked this 0.5-second better.

Thankfully, I was able to finish the tour before Mother Nature said, “Let her rip!” Just as I was walking to my car, rain began to pour hard.
