Elizabeth closed her eyes as she tilted her head toward the sky.
A sweet memory began to play in her head. She and her husband were young again. They could dance and sway to the old jazzy tunes and not worried about breaking a bone. She wouldn’t be confined to a wheelchair and he wouldn’t need a cane.
She opened her eyes and smiled. What a lovely memory that was, she thought, looking up at the leaves from the tree she planted decades ago, when she first moved into this house and only wished her husband was here with her.
