Sunday Poser #185 – Unfinished Projects?

Do you have any unfinished projects hanging around the house?

Do you finish all the projects you start or do they suffer delays or are abandoned midway?

That I do, particularly crochet projects.

Crochet is fun and all but they are a serious time-sucker. I can say “one more row” or “one more round” about a dozen times before noticing the number of hours has gone by and I haven’t moved from my chair.

I bought a book at the end of last year, hoping to occupy my holidays with crochet projects since I cannot exactly garden when the sun is shining for less than 10 hours a day. Not much grows when there are only 9-and-a-half hours of sunlight. I bought this book with patterns for crochet blankets, in which blankets are crocheted in pieces before stitching them together into one big blanket.

To be honest, I have lots of blankets, more than I’ll probably need in a lifetime and I only ever use blankets during the winter when I’m watching TV in the freezing cold living room. I like making blankets because it’s mindless and straightforward. I ended up finishing 2 strips and have been wanting to start the third strip but haven’t found the time.

It’s hard to find time these days, particularly with my aunt around and a garden to take care of. Hopefully, I’ll pick it up again this winter.

  1. I did write short mystical stories before, just now I do not have so much time and no more laptop. Good that I have saved it on hard drive. To be honest I do some photography as well. I cannot help myself, I love art in any way.

  2. I do have a few unfinished crochet and knit projects. I have a small business making and selling handmade items so I try to finish most of what I start to maximize my profits. But you are right! There is simply not enough time. I would love to have some more drawing time.
