The building on the right side of the photo was my first home but I don’t remember it because we moved to another apartment when I was just a few months old. I wish I remember my first move, it feels like it would be a momentous event to remember; after all, it’s a “first” and every “first” in life is important, right, or so as they say.
I moved a lot during my 10 years spent in China, particularly during the three years when I was being shoved around from relative to relative, depending on who wanted me. It kind of made me look like a child skipping from foster home to foster home, that was until my mom finally came and took me to the US.
In the US, I’ve moved a total of 6 times, the most recent being 2017 when I bought my current home, at which time I’ve come to the conclusion that moving might be fun for some people but it’s definitely not for me – the packing, lifting, moving, unpacking, etc. But who knows, maybe, in time, I will need to move again.
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Move”.

You surely moved a lot. I moved a lot while I was studying in Sarajevo, the capital of my country, but since I returned to my hometown I didn’t move at all.

Yeah, my last move was a actually a short one – to the house next door but it was still hard because it involved a lot of walking.

I thought we had moved a lot but you’ve got me beat, for sure. 😉

It sounds as if you had a bit of a rough start in life, I hope you can now stay put for as long as you choose.

I have to at least stay until I pay off the loan on the house and put up with two annoying individuals. After that, I hope I can move one last time to a permanent location.
