Friday Fictioneers: Full and Undivided Attention

A Semi-true story…

My aunt came downstairs just as I was getting ready to crimp the pie dough. “What are you making now?”

“What do you think?” I snapped.

“Why is it that each time you cook, the kitchen ends up looking like a warzone?” Gosh, so judgy! I ignored her comment.

Baking is about precision, cleaning has its moments but not while making the dough. I believe in giving my work-in-progress my utmost attention to ensure it comes out delicious. Clean-up can wait until everything is in the oven baking away but right now, the dough needs my full and undivided attention.
