Friday Fictioneers: Demolition

A Completely Fictional Story..

“Are you sure you want to continue with the demolition, Missus Mayor?” Foreman George asked nervously, in his southern twang. He transplanted to this sleepy town a few years ago and even he knew of this place’s significance to the town folks.

With her hands at her waist, the mayor gazed at the building. She wasn’t sure she ever wanted to see this place demolished. It was her hang-out spot in her pasttime, sipping milkshakes with her friends while gossiping about boys.

Unfortunately, after the owner passed, this place was placed into the city’s care. She sighed, “Yes, I’m sure.”
