Happy Sunday! Sofia from Photographias is hosting this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge with a nostalgic theme – Looking Back.

I pretty much put all of my photos through Lightroom these days, whether the edit is simple or whether I decide to add a creative touch, everything goes through Lightroom. There was a time, though, before I could afford to pay the monthly fee for Adobe Lightroom, before I could shoot my photos in RAW, back when I was fueling my photography hobby with a simple point-and-shoot pocket camera.

I occasionally like to look back at those photos. It reminds me of the days when all the photos were just as is, no touch-ups, no color grading, nothing.

These photos was taken at the Bonneville Salt Flats, by the way, the place where the world’s fastest cars race each year.

I feel my photo were much simpler those days, even in my early days of switching to my aunt’s Sony mirrorless, I was shooting in the compact format of Jpeg. Some photos came out pretty good, like these photos, taken during my 2017 trip in China, while there were some photos that didn’t come out so great.

Fast forward to yesteryear, though I would say my photography hobby has definitely evolved, I still like to look back on all the great trips I’ve taken, particularly international trips like the trip to the UK and Japan as well as solo trips like my trip to Grand Canyon.
