Sunday Poser #206 – Best 2024 Moments

2024 has entered it’s 2nd last month- What do you feel was its best moment for you?

How is 2024 for you till now? It’s early to ask about your plans for the next year- but do you have anything exciting planned for the year ahead?

I cannot believe 2024 is almost over. When I ventured into my local Walmart yesterday, it was selling Christmas decorations. I am not ready for the holidays. In fact, even with Thanksgiving in just three short weeks, I’m not feeling the festivities at all.

With all that said, it’s very hard to pinpoint the best moment of the year. It’s hard to say, perhaps it hasn’t happened yet. Like last year, perhaps the best moments won’t happen until the very end.

For now, I can only pinpoint 2 great moments – the garden and my July 4th day trip. I’m going to do a summary of the garden and what I’ve learned from the garden later but I will say that despite all the pest pressure, the garden was better than the previous years and I think I’m addicted to the harvest. It’s one of the things that keeps me gardening.

Next to my Christmas road trip last year, my 4th of July day trip was one of the best day trips I’ve ever had. I got to drive the Guardsman Pass, which has been listed as one of the must-drive roads in Utah. It was great timing, too, as it closed shortly after my trip for construction.

I also got to visit a few places I haven’t visited in a while and drive a couple of so-called scenic backways, which are a little more challenging to drive but full of thrills, natural beauties along the way, and excitement. The best part was I was alone, just me, my car, my camera, and music. No mom, no aunt, no annoying family members.

  1. Amazing pictures, Yinglan! I’m glad that a few beautiful moments stood out for you in particular. It’s hard to believe that the year has passed so fast indeed. I hope that the year ends on a high note for you
