When I think of lace, I think of snowflakes – delicate, fragile, and full of holes. I don’t do delicate and fragile and this crochet is just about as close as I can come to it and believe me, it took me many, many tries to make the snowflakes come out like that – lacy-like and not to mention, festive.
According to an arts and craft blog, there are more than 27 types of lace, or shall I write “27 types of laces”? Apparently, anything that’s elegantly designed with holes and shear fabric is considered a lace. So my snowflakes are considered to be a lace. Wow, my clumsy hands apparently made something delicate.

Very pretty Yinglan. I was shown how to crochet roses, but I’ve forgotten!

Thank you. I love the complicated patterns even though it takes me hours to figure out but I guess that’s the fun of it.

Beautiful lace. I especially like how the greens at the top complement the other colors well.

How clever you are! My grandmother tried to teach us crochet and knitting as children, but I never got past the basics.

Some of us just don’t have a creative bone in our bodies. Your snowflakes are beautiful.
