Happy Sunday! This week, Sophia wants us to show a sense of mellowness and calmness through our photography for this week’s Lens-Artists Photo challenge.
When it comes to finding a place to calm me down, my personal meadow can never go wrong. What is my personal meadow? It’s a small patch in my garden where I scattered a packet of flower seeds to allow pollinators to come to feast. Of course, I can call it a pollinator patch like a normal person but I like the fact that I have my own personal meadow where I can go and relax and enjoy the colors and flowers.

I really like scenes like this. It’s quiet enough to calm the anxiety that’s always bugging my brain. I enjoy such green scenery as I enjoy my personal meadow. Unfortunately, I live in one of the driest spots in the United States, where green leaves are often replaced by yellow, burned leaves in a blink of an eye.
Lastly, I don’t think anyone can go wrong with water when trying to seek a moment of peace and calmness. I find the sound of water flowing among rocks most comforting, even though you can’t really hear it. I think the sound can be subtle but I think sometimes, when you’re calm enough, you can feel it when you hear it.

You chose some wonderful mellow images that show calmness.

Love your own meadow – I so enjoy mine too! Lie on the grass among the flowers and meditate.

Thank you. Lying on my meadow may be something I’ll never do because I don’t want to squash my flowers.
