Friday Fictioneers: Strange House

“Do you think there’s anyone living in that house?” Jerri asked as she and her husband Mark walked past the blue house with its blooming flowers and manicured lawn.

Mark shrugged, “I’m sure there is.”

“It’s just I’ve never seen anyone come and go from that house, like ever.”

Mark stopped in his track, “Jerri, is that what you do all day? Staring at our neighbors?”

Jerri glared at Mark, “I just want to get to know our neighbors. We moved into this neighborhood 2 years now and I’ve never seen anyone enter and exit that house, isn’t that strange?”

  1. Wow, your realistic story fit this house and captured a nice human side – because it always amazes me how some folks do scan the neighborhood and they know people’s schedules and can be so observant – and Jerri sounds like a good candidate for helping to host a neighborhood watch group. 🙂
