I have been hesitant to put this picture on my blog because it’s slightly out of focus. Why? I know why, I was holding the camera at 300 mm with no tripod and buckling knees. I really wish I could’ve gotten a second shot of this bird but my mom kept wanting her photo taken.
This was in Taiwan, by the way, somewhere by the Pacific coast. “If you swim, you can reach home.” My mom said.
As badly as I wanted to go home and sleep in my bed, I wasn’t about to do something so silly as swim. I’d take a plane, which would be the next day. Anyway, I don’t know what this bird is but beautiful, isn’t it?
I suddenly remembered I have photos of a peacock. Isn’t he majestic? This picture was taken with my previous phone – Galaxy s10e – during my first excursion to the local zoo in 2019. The zoo was where the company’s annual picnic used to be held before it got moved to a park in he mountain.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of the zoo. Wildlife should not be kept in a zoo. I felt bad for the peacock, being cooped up in a confined space. No matter how beautiful he look, I still felt bad and still feel bad.
Finally, a picture of the old birdhouse that used to occupy the Japanese maple tree in my backyard. After discovering a dead baby bird in the birdhouse a few years back, I decided that it would be a good idea to rid the birdhouse before another bird falls prey to to this deadly contraption.
Lately, I’ve been seeing more and more hummingbirds coming to visit, particularly the butterfly bushes in the front yard. They seem to love this kind of flowers. I enjoy seeing them very much, just wish I had my camera at the time. Perhaps, I need to set up a hummingbird feeder in the front yard since they love it so much.

Nice shots of the birds! I think that is a blue heron in the first one. Sorry if this is a duplicate comment…

Thank you. You might be right. I looked it up and it does indeed looks like a blue heron.
