Which would you say is the best part of your life and why you feel that way?
The word “best” can be defined in so many ways, in my opinion. It can be best health, best time, or happiest. Now, I can’t speak for most of my childhood since I can’t remember much of it. Maybe my brain has decided to block out all the bad memories, which did not leave many memories to be desired or maybe it’s like an overwrite in memories as one gets older, like a computer’s way to store more information is to record the new information on top of the old information.
Instead of choose a single era, I am going to list a couple because these parts are defined by a specific thing that made it the best.
The first “best” part of my life was when I was in middle school to the first term of Freshman high school (ages 11-14). It was the first time I’ve ever felt I was living a “normal” childhood. I had friends to play with, to talk to, and I wasn’t sitting alone at recess talking to my imaginary friends. That was some of the best years of my life for that reason.
My second “best” is probably now because for one of the few times in my life, I feel good in my body. I’m not talking about my mood. I’m talking about my physical body. I feel healthy even though I’m still being plagued with a myriad of health problems. For once in a long time, I feel like my body’s in the best shape and I feel the gratitude has to go to the garden to supplying me with lots of nutritious veggies and berries.
Though I highly doubt my health problems such as low white blood count, low blood platelets, and calcium problem would ever go away, I feel good physically at the moment and I think that should be what matters, especially when we’re in a world that’s riddled with complex diseases and contagions.

Thanks for sharing your experience Yinglan! I understand why you selected both periods. I hope you keep on feeling good physically. Hugs.
