#SundayStills: Was Under #Construction

I was in the Canadian Capitol of Ottawa in the fall of 2022. I didn’t get to see much because one, my mom was sick and when she’s sick, her insults and tantrums would become ten times worse. Our patience wore thin as I was forced to be stuck in the hotel room for most of the day, not to mention having to share a bed with her.

I ended up getting sick, too, as we crossed back into the US. This was one of the few photos I managed to snap when I wasn’t running to catch up.

This may not look it but I cropped out about a third of this photo because of the scaffolding on the right side of the photo. This is the State Capitol of New Mexico and it was partially under construction when I visited in June. In my opinion, this has to be the most unique capitol building I’ve seen so far because for one, it’s missing a dome.

There were some interesting displays inside including art work by local artists. I’m not good at appreciating art and deciphering the meaning behind art pieces, so I won’t even try.

Finally, here were a couple of buildings under construction from a few years ago, as seen from the top floor of my office building. Does time fly because these buildings have long since been completed and have already rented out – the left to residential tenants and the right to business tenants. These days, more and more high-rises are going up, making downtown look more like a larger city downtown as opposed to the simple downtown in the days’ past.

How the times have changed!
