About a week after the conversation with her supervisor, Teri was pulled into a staff meeting, hosted by the human resource department. It was the first time Teri has been in this conference room except when she was given the tour on her first day of work. There were boxes of cookies and doughnuts lined against the back wall of the room on a table, just looking at the food made Teri’s mouth water and stomach growl as she hadn’t had breakfast yet.
“Hey,” a ginger-hair kid called as Teri was about to help herself to a cookie, “Teri, right?” Teri nodded as the kid continued, “I was wondering if you can help me while I set up my laptop, could you turn on the TV and go up and down the channels until my laptop screen shows up?”
