Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #390 – Color in Black and White

Happy Sunday! Egidio is the the host for this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge and he’s presented an interesting concept – Color in Black and White, meaning though the photo is in black and white, we still see colors in the photos.

This pair of photos is very different, isn’t it?

I must admit when I looked at the first photo, my attention immediately went to bubbles but if the photo is in color, would my eyes land on the trees? Also, it might just be me but I can never imagine the colors on these bubbles in the black and white photo but I can certainly imagine the blooms on those trees.

What about the picture on the right? Is it me or do those holes stand out more in a world with no colors?

These are two of my all-time favorite black and white photographs, taken at a 2022 airshow. Looking at the images, what colors come to mind?

In this final pair of photos, are you seeing a myriad of colors in the mural with the owl? In the photo with the locks, can you which locks are gold and which are silver?

I had fun with this challenge. It got me doing a deep dive into the photo archive as I kept asking myself whether a photo qualifies for the challenge. Honestly, in this world of colors, every photo qualifies, it’s just a matter of one or two colors or a rainbow of colors. I hope you enjoyed my take on this challenge and had fun guessing the colors.
