





I don’t ride on boats or ships often but here are some photos from those rare circumstances.
The first two came from a Thames River Cruise in London. I was on the upper deck and got to capture these awesome view.
Next, we are off to Osaka where I did another short cruise down the river. That lighthouse shot was taken with the 18-400 mm lens at 400 mm. Let’s just say I was glad I had that lens with me.
Finally, we are on the Maiden of the Mist sailing toward Niagara Falls. As epic of a view people say of the falls, I found I couldn’t see anything up close. I think I prefer the view of the Niagara Falls from above and rather not soak my camera. Thank goodness there was a weather seal on my brand new lens. Otherwise, the DSLR would had been toast after getting dumped so much water.
These are great photos! I agree with you about the Maid of the Mist. It was a fun ride, but not great for photography.

These are wonderful.. I’ve been to London but didn’t take a cruise on the Thames River. Thinking I need to go back to do that. 😉
