“Oh my gosh, Ben? Is that you?” Hearing his name caused him to halt, turning around, he saw a somewhat familiar face. It was Rachel from his high school, the one that wrote his Senior prediction in the yearbook – “Ben will be the only one of us to stay in this town.” She ran up and threw her arms around him, “Oh my gosh, I didn’t think I’d see you here.”
Awkwardly, Ben ran his finger through his hair as she let go. “Yeah, I live here now, you know, moved out of the small town and got a job downtown.”
“Wow, good for you.” Rachel said.
Ben wondered why she’s being so nice to him. She used to tease him and bully him for not being handsome and always had his nose in a book. Had she forgotten all the humiliation and embarrassment she’d caused in the 3 years of high school they had known each other?
For a moment, they stood facing each other, silent and awkward. She began rocking back and forth on her heels while he scratched his head before Ben suddenly remembered he was in a rush. “Listen, it was great seeing you but I must go. Sorry.” He dashed toward the train platform before she could respond, not sure if he really had the desire to see her again.

I think he just wanted to go. A very realistic story Yinglan. Thanks for joining in
