Teri spun around, feeling her face turn scarlet, and wished the elevator doors would just open to rescue her, to save her from this, what just happened?! her brain screamed, he…just…kissed…me! Thankfully, the elevator doors opened, Teri stepped in, muttering a “sorry,” as she bumped into the man in a black suit stepping out, and remained standing with her back facing Harry until the elevator began descending before she closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief.

It was as if his feet were nailed to the floor, Harry stood there and looked on helplessly as the elevator doors closed before him, feeling hollow and dejected, turn around, he willed mentally but Teri still stood with her back against him. The second the elevator doors closed and began descending, he twisted his body around and threw a fist into the wall. Though no damage was done to the wall, Harry’s knuckles, on the other hand, were bright red and in pain, “Ah, you son of a…” he danced on the spot, nursing his throbbing hand.

In the ground floor lobby of the office building, Teri stepped out of the elevator and sat down on the nearest sofa, attempting to digest what just happened but all she was left with was more confusion.
