Last Day of May

It’s hard to believe May just flew by and it’s June already. May has been an over-productive month for me what with Graduation and all the rushing deadlines with work and driving an hour to look at a beautiful piece of land each weekend that we now decided not to buy or are we buying I’m incredibly confused right now but I’ll tell you more about it later. Plus an overwhelming amount of material I have to know for the GMAT coming up in July.

On the blog front, May was also the month where my blogging had become a little more consistent. Maybe not for the first few weeks, since I still had work and I couldn’t think in that freezing classroom, not an excuse nor a complain, it’s a fact. Once I finished my tasks with my work-from-home job though, I was set to blog and you gotta admit, I’ve managed to post some interesting stories and articles.

I think the most drastic change came this last week when I had a sudden epiphany that I needed to change the feel and theme of both of my blogs (Diary of an Optimist and My Writing My Way) and out popped some new names, new themes, and the sites are now beautifully updated.

If you’ve checked out my site the last couple days, you’ll notice the background had changed a dozen times.  That’s because I was trying to find a background that fit the theme of the blog but now, it’s done. Sky’s the limit. I hope you like it.  It’s still sort of got that random vibe where I just post random observations and write what I know and it doesn’t look so bland.

Anyway, a lot is happening in June:

  1. Next Thursday is my telephone interview to see if I can get into this special program at Georgetown University (a prestigious opportunity and one of my many alternate paths).
  2. Going back to school on the 16th to study Economics for my Masters of Accountancy, at least it’s online courses, I can stay home and study in the sweltering heat. 😀
  3. Summer is coming! June 20th or 21st, depending on where you are, is Summer Solstice. The hottest and longest day of the year.
  4. Okay, I know I said A LOT but I can’t think of more at the moment.  If I think of more, I’ll let you know.

In the meantime, what are you looking forward to in June? I’d love to hear from you.  Oh and tell me what you think about the new site design and check out some of the pages!

‘Til then, I’ll leave you with this quote. Have a wonderful day!

  1. I’m shocked how quick the school year has gone for me, and finally-SUMMER! 😀 But the one big thing on my mind is packing a billion bags and sit in a car (or van) for 6 hours in only 7 weeks. Hooray. I’m moving house, and far, far away to. Well I better make the most of the time I have left here. Unfortunately, nearly all that time is spent at school. 😦
I love your new blog design, it looks brilliant! After spending so much time away, I was shocked how much your blog had changed. It looks great though. 🙂
