Five Photos – Five Stories Day 4

We are once again going back in time. DSCF1492This time, 2010, not a long way away from yesterday. I know what this picture looks like. I have become a giant and took this picture of the Oval Office with my giant camera. Um, no.

This picture is from my trip to Los Angeles during my Fall Break of 2010. I moved from LA to Austin in 2005 and 2010 was the first time I’ve been back to LA. It had changed both a little and a lot.

During the trip, I visited the Ronald Regan Library in Semi-Valley. It’s a must-visit destination if you ever find yourselves in California. The view is gorgeous and the admission is worth every penny.

There was a miniature model of the White House in the museum when I visited that day. I happen to be obsessed with taking pictures of important monuments, more complete, the better. Since visiting the White House is difficult (been there, know how it is) and taking a picture of places of the Oval Office is even more difficult (it’s more like impossible). So I figure this miniature model is next best thing. Although, I admit, the picture’s a little shaky but it has to be one of my best work. It’s not easy taking indoor pictures.

Isn’t this a pretty view? If only I can move out of the way.

Day 4 already? Wow! Once again, I’d like to thank Priceless Joy for nominating me for the challenge. My invitation still stands. Anyone is welcome to join.

I will be wrapping the challenge tomorrow. Since it’s also Thursday and I haven’t done a Throwback Thursday post in a while, I think I will go even way back tomorrow. So stay tune.

  1. What a fun post for me. I love miniatures and models and these were just stellar. It is especially fun to phtograph them and you did a great job. Thank you for sharing.
