Everything I’ve Ever Wanted

Daily Prompt: Tell us about a time when everything actually turned out exactly as you’d hoped.

im-on-my-wayUh, how about now? Even though my new job doesn’t exactly pay well (for now), everything about the job is exactly what I have hoped. I finally get to do the things I like to do, which is managing budgets and inventories, instead of things I loathe with all my heart or translation. To me, punching inventories into Quickbooks is what I call fun aside from blogging and writing of course and I happen to be good at it too.

I spent most of the day yesterday again in the back of the cellphone repair shop just at the mouth of my neighborhood entering inventories into Quickbooks. No one bothered me and all I could hear was the music playing through my brand-new headphones. I’ve made a lot of progress and it was everything I hoped for. It was perfect.

Today, on the other hand, not so much. My mom’s coming home early afternoon and if she’s home, you know what’s going to happen. Her fussiness will pop out and she’ll start criticizing everything and everyone, by everyone, I mean me. She will say I look unkempt, blah blah blah. Whatever, it’s not like I’m going out to meet anyone special and what so wrong about wearing sweatpants?

Absolutely nothing!

Well, thanks for reading and have a wonderful day. 🙂

  1. My mother used to rag on me about looking unkept too. Yesterday I went to the drug store and looked at my hair sticking up and thought “if Mom were here, she’d be nagging me to brush my hair” (which I tried doing, but sometimes hair doesn’t respond to brushes — like mine, so I don’t worry about looking like I just got out of bed).

You got a new job! That sounds like a great job! That sort of job would be right up my alley too.
