Share Your World – 2015 Week #29

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A singer, an actress, a songwriter, and a director. I wanted to be a singer who writes her own lyrics and music. I remember whenever I get a new CD, the first thing I’d look at would be who wrote the songs and if it’s not the artist, I’d get a little disappointed. I don’t know why. I guess I just thought if the artist wrote his/her own songs instead of singing what others had written, then it proves that celebrities were smart people. Dumb, right?

I also wanted to be a director, I still do. Not movies or TV shows though but music videos. Not just any music videos, I want to direct one that tells a story with beautiful lyrics.

What was your favorite food as a child? Do you eat it now?

My favorite food as a child was french fries. Obviously, I still eat it now, occasionally though. My reason for picking french fries as my favorite food is that when I was a child in China, french fries was more or less a rare commodity. I’m often stuck at home and it’s only on rare occasion do my aunt and uncle take me out for fast-food.

What I really want to try though is curly fries. I watched my friends have it in middle school with drool falling from the corner of my lips. They won’t share and it has to be good if they eat it everyday, right?

If you were invisible, where would you go?

Hmm, interesting question. If I am invisible, I will most likely sneak onto a plane, not that I’m thinking of sneaking onto a plane. If I’m invisible, I won’t need to buy a ticket or get through security. Once on the plane, I’ll probably fly first-class to Europe or somewhere I’ve never been. It will be awesome.

Would you rather forget everyone else’s name all the time or have have everyone forget your name all the time?

I am already have trouble remembering people’s names. I can differentiate between faces but oftentimes, I need a minute to search for the person’s name in my brain.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that last weekend was my mom had her monthly training, gave about 20 hours to myself. This week’s been a quiet week so far but I suspect this weekend is going to be noisy. Our neighbors will probably set off fireworks for Pioneer Day (today) like they did for Fourth of July.
