A Special Tree

This is from a tree right around the corner from my home. My mom hates this tree. It’s full of thorns and its branches spreads everywhere, hurting unaware pedestrians. Each year as fall approached, I watched her pour extremely potent poison to kill this tree and yet, year after year, this tree grew. It is as though immortal and invincible. The flowers changes colors too. Later in the season, they become a darker violet color. The photograph below is from the same tree taken last year.

I admire the strength of this tree. Even after all the poison, it still managed to go on.What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

This tree also represents the hope that year after year will be better.

  1. Reminds me of a story Andrea told me about some jerk who wanted to become a cage fighter and because he his coat kept getting snagged on it decided to rip it out the ground.

  2. This sounds like a very strong tree as you said. Poison can’t bring it down. Maybe it has some medicinal properties that can cure many things in this world 😀 It does have some pretty flowers I must say 🙂
