This was taken the first day of summer school back in May. I had to park in a different parking lot than the one I usually park because it’s summer and the university lets students park in this specific parking lot for free. I may have walked all over campus during the past two years but I have never ventured into this part of campus. So I had to find my way to my class and back to the car.

Going down to the building where my class is held was an easy walk but coming back up, that’s a tough one. 100% stairs and uphill. I didn’t mind it that much when it was still cooler in May but now, with the 95-degree summer heat, you get the picture.

On the first day, I made the mistake of going up those stairs, thinking it’s the parking lot but upon making all the way to the top of those stairs, huffing and puffing breathlessly, I discovered I was in the next parking lot up from the one I parked. Lesson learned. Don’t go up these stairs again, continue down the path to the next set of stairs, that’s where the parking lot is located.
