I visited my grandpa’s house a few days ago. As soon as I reached the three houses at the beginning of the street, I knew we were heading in the right direction right away. Even after 15 years, nothing had really changed about this street. Even the houses around it and let’s not mention the house itself. When I left for the U.S., this house was nothing but a shell, five stories of bricks and mortar. The stairs were full of concrete dust and without railings and with my fear of heights, I did not want to venture upward.
Now, 15 years later, other than the pink walls for levels 2-5 and the bars on the windows, everything looked the same, down to the heap of garbage next to the house. With the family running out of money and no one want to invest, the house remains unfinished. Now, we just have to be patient and wait for somebody to come along and buy the place off our hands.

Yeah, it is unfortunate that people aren’t taking good care of such a beautiful place.
