She opened her eyes and could feel the chilliness of the air. Where am I? She wondered. Have I been sleepwalking again? She was knee-deep in snow and the trees around here were hanging with icicles. “Hello? Is anyone there?”
All of a sudden, the sound of horse hooves appeared. She turned and instantly, the scene before her reminded her of a movie she had watched earlier tonight. Panicked, she dived into the snow to avoid incoming traffic. When she shook the snow from her hair, she noticed someone was staring at her. “Who are you?” She asked the woman in white.
“Why, I am the queen.” The woman replied, smiling.
“The queen?” She stared with confusion.
“Oh, my dear, you must be freezing. Come, let’s get you something to warm up.” Together, they climbed onto the woman’s carriage. “Here, have a hot chocolate.” In mid-air, a steamy cup of hot cocoa appeared.
She took a sip and almost immediately, she felt her eyes droop. A moment later, In the dark, her eyes flew open.

We’re in Narnia Snow Queen territory here. Nicely done.

Perhaps that hot chocolate wasn’t the best idea, though it may have seemed so at the time. Nice story!

Grow this into a complete fairy tale. Good attention grabber. If I were in your audience, I would be calling, “More, more, more,….”
