Today, I decided to post an old (throwback) picture from August of 2015. I was walking home one afternoon and thought, why not take a picture of my feet and these weeds? That’s how this picture was shot.

So why am I posting old pictures? I’m exhausted, that’s why. Yesterday, I spent the day at work arguing with the insurance agency.

Last week, when the home insurance package arrived for the new house, my mom’s eyes bulged. It was nearly twice the amount that was initially quoted. It turned out the mortgage company wanted more dwelling coverage.

Anyway, she had me fill out a quote request form on Sunday and even though this quote was better, the company wouldn’t sell me insurance because they evaluated my property and classified it as a “risk” because there were unpaid claims. “Why do you care if the previous owner made claim on the property?” I asked the guy. He couldn’t answer me. If you won’t answer my question and don’t want to sell me insurance, fine, it’s your loss.

Anyway, I’m exhausted of constantly filling out paperwork for the mortgage and the house. I just want all this to stop and leave me alone.

The fortunate thing is I’m closing on the house today. The bad thing is I’m still exhausted. So I’m going to take it easy this week. I’ll try to participate in my regular writing challenges but if I don’t, I’ll just post some of my favorite photos and call it a day.
