What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Does anyone like doing chores? I absolutely hate doing every kind of chores from cleaning the hard floors to vacuuming to cleaning my room. Yuck!
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
Passionate? I am not sure if I’ve ever even felt passion ever.
Alive, yes, last Sunday when I discovered I could run again. In the past, when I ran, I had always ended up with an annoying chest pain and leg pain the next day. Last Sunday, I went to the park. At first, I walked. After the first lap, I decided to give it a try. I began to jog, expecting the agonizing pain in both my legs and chest but neither came. I kept going around the corner. It was the farthest I’ve ever ran in quite some time. I looked back at my starting point and never felt happier and more alive, knowing I can run again.

How many times have you moved in the last ten years?
The last ten years? Would that include the entire year of 2007? I moved to Salt Lake City from Austin, Texas August of that year. First to my mom’s friend’s house and then to our apartment a week later. Then in 2009, I moved from Salt Lake City to my current city, Layton. Finally, in August 2017, I moved one house over. So that means I moved four times.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Since I got my Fitbit the weekend before Thanksgiving, my weight had dropped from 119 pounds to 117 and to 116. It wasn’t until last week when I finally reached 115 pounds. It didn’t stop there. I was at 114 by the weekend. I did it by walking more than 10,000 steps a day and giving myself a maximum calorie intake of 1,200. It wasn’t easy but I managed to lower my weight to a two-year low.
I’m looking forward to losing more since I’m still classified as overweight. However, this little journey has inspired me and I’m currently attempting for what it’s like the fifth time to write my Toastmaster speech. I hope I can squeeze a speech out of me this time.
