One of the things about not being able to read a language is you tend to walk into surprises. One afternoon last week, after begging my aunt to take me to my hometown’s museums, my aunt finally honored my request. We visited the Zhongshan Commerce and Culture Museum, Zhongshan Radio Museum, and the Zhongshan Museum.
In front of the Zhongshan Museum stood a Chinese sign which I couldn’t read. My aunt read it to me but I still didn’t understand. The words were too formal and technical for me. Shrugging, I walked in and met with a surprise.
Dog statues!
Now I get it. To celebrate the Chinese New Year (February 16, 2018) and the start of the Dog year in Chinese Zodiac, the museum had closed all its other exhibits and only gave visitors access to one.
These doggies were so cute. I couldn’t take my eyes off them. Therefore, I photographed every one of them. These are some of my absolute favorites. I will be posting more in the future. Please enjoy these for now.
Awww cute 🙂 Thanks for sharing!! xx
