I know the answer to this – the same way cops on foot arrest people. Handcuff them, then radio for the nearest mobile unit to come and assist. (Ex-cop 😉 )

They call for backup. But I can imagine them handcuffing them to the basket. LOL!

That’s true though sometimes, if the cop’s got a dangerous criminal, waiting for backup would be inconvenient.
