Good Saturday morning! Thank you for joining me. Let’s get some drinks! More smoothies?

If we were having drinks, I would tell you my week did not start off well. I spent the first two days of the week in my Quickbooks class. I learned a lot and I thought the class was a prerequisite to getting my certification but it turned out, I didn’t need that class for the certification. Ugh!

If we were having drinks, I would tell you I got my Quickbooks Online certification this week and I am now a ProAdvisor. I am so excited because being a ProAdvisor meant I have entered a search list where people go search for Quickbooks experts in their area. I did a quick search and there are only about 30 people in my 20 miles radius who’s certified. I think that’s a good thing.

If we were having drinks, I would tell you I’m still not sleeping well this week, all due to my sleep apnea machine. Although I’ve made some adjustments to the machine which made it quieter and slowed down the air flow, I still find myself waking up in the middle of the night. I wonder if I really need a month to get used to the machine.

If we were having drinks, I would tell you I had a job interview this week with a roof contractor. The position was introduced by a temp agency I’ve signed up and the best part about the position is that is remote, meaning I get to set my own schedule and work from home. So far, they’re saying I’m a good fit because of my past experience with working from home as a translator. I’ll be having a second interview on Monday, wish me luck.

If we were having drinks, I would tell you I’ve applied for another job. This is also a remote position which is good. You know, I don’t mind working as long as I don’t have to drive in the snow and go out in the freezing tundra. I’ve heard back from that company and they’re moving me to the next step. Woo hoo!

If we were having drinks, I would tell you the week ended on a fun note. I made a Swiss Roll! And that’s not the only thing I made this week. I also made a Banana Cake. Both were delicious though I do like the Swiss Roll better.

    1. Thank you. There’s much more snow over here. The weatherman predicted 4-6 inches and I think there at least 4 inches in my yard right now. I’ll have to go out and shovel my driveway later this afternoon.

  2. Yummy, your baking always looks so good. I’m glad you have some potential jobs and working from home or remotely is nice as you can control your own schedule a bit then. Hope the one you want the most, works out! Does your Mom eat your baking? Does she like it?

    1. Thank you, I watch a lot of YouTube videos on baking and I think it takes practice, that’s all. I hope I’ll get those jobs too. I think 2 part-time jobs will bring plenty of income, at least I think it’ll be enough that my mom won’t complain about me not working.

      She sometimes eat my baking and usually she doesn’t like the cakes. She only likes the Chinese- style coconut buns. Even a few nights ago when I baked chicken drumsticks, which I thought was delicious, she ate one and said it made her want to throw up. How rude, right? So I usually eat my own cakes which is great because it means more for me.

  4. Best of luck on the jobs! My dream is to work remotely someday.. It would free me up to live anywhere. The cakes look great! Funny, I just discovered Upsplash today.. I still want to use my own photos though, it adds to the challenge.. 🙂 Have a great week!
