I started this year’s A-Z Challenge with a photo taken in my backyard. It was a picture of my raspberry bushes which are now totally green with no flowers. I panicked and googled it. It turned out this kind of raspberry bushes only bear fruit every other year. So I guess I’ll have to wait until next year. What a dumb choice of fruit bushes!
I didn’t plant those bushes, by the way. The house’s previous owners planted those, just like they planted that fruitless Asian Pear tree in the middle of the yard which made mowing the lawn slightly more difficult.
I mowed my lawn for the second time this season, by the way. It took me another 5 hours to complete that task though I wasn’t as sore as the last time.
Anyway, I thought since I started this challenge with a picture taken in my yard, I might as well end with one. I took this a few days ago. I had to tiptoe and adjust my camera to its maximum zoom to capture these Asian Pear blossoms.
If you’re thinking, what is this girl talking about? There’s still the letter Z! Well, I have something else in mind for letter Z.

Our Asian pear tree finally bloomed. Before it did, I thought I may have over pruned it. Gotta believe in myself more, I say. Now I’m going to go look at your raspberry photo to see if that’s what decided to grow in our yard this year.

I need to believe in myself more too and stop worrying about the plants in my backyard. They are survivors!
