Share Your World – Week of June 11, 2018

If you could choose any person from history to be your imaginary friend, who would it be and why?

There are so many historical figures in history that I can’t even begin to wonder which I would choose to be my imaginary friend, not that I often think about that. Hmm… It’s probably a woman though because it’s easier for me to imagine a woman speaking to me instead of a man.

Don’t ask, I don’t know why.

I would probably choose a headstrong woman from the early 1920’s to be my imaginary friend. From what I’ve learned in history, the 1920’s is an upbeat era. So having an imaginary friend from this era would keep me awake and on my toes.

60s, 70s, 80s, 90s: Which decade do you love the most and why?

I am a 90’s kid. Therefore, I have no knowledge of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s other than the stuff I learned in my history class, TV shows, and movies. From what I’ve heard, the 60’s and 70’s were full of hippies, big hairs, colorful pants, and big-odd-looking boots. I don’t think I will love the 60’s and 70’s even if some great things did come out of those two eras like the Civil Rights Movement and moon landing.

I know basically zilch about the 80’s. The only movie I’ve watched that is about the 80’s is Back to the Future and it didn’t tell me much other than it’s pretty much the opposite of the 60’s and 70’s with its tight clothes and semi-smaller cars.

I thought the 90’s was a good era. I had a color television, Windows 98 computer, DVD player in China. I love this era and sometimes still wish we would return to the 90’s where the times were simpler without social media, online bullying, and back to the days when everybody talked to each other face-to-face instead of via text.

When you die, what do you want to be remembered for?

Hmm… interesting. I’m not sure. It’s too early to think about such thing but I think if there is one thing I want to be remembered, it would be this blog.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Getting pretty much caught up at work was definitely something that made me smile. I just have a few more things to do before getting completely caught up. Then maybe I won’t have to work overtime. Meanwhile, this is the quote that’s motivating me this week since the end of the pay period is this Friday and pay day is next week.
