Photo of the Day!

Even though I’ll be busier than usual, the best part of my mom’s friends coming is always getting to go to new places and see new things I don’t usually get to see. Last night turned out to be one of the best nights I’ve ever had. My mom took us out to Antelope Island to watch the sunset over the Great Salt Lake. Before we left, I had spent dinner researching how to photograph sunset.

The most important thing, Google said, is to bring a tripod, use aperture priority mode, make sure your f-number is large, and ISO is low. Also, use a wide angle lens.

That’s what I did and I think this is my best sunset picture.

  1. Beautiful! Looks like all of the smoke is at least making for dramatic sunsets and some good photography on your side of the Basin. More like summer in Deli or Beijing here… hot, humid and very low visibility through all the smoke.

  2. Hello dear Yinglan.: Such a gorgeous capture of a sunset. Have never been to Antelope Island. Always such fun to ‘use’ having visitors to explore new places. Thank you. All my best to you.
