As I mentioned in a post over the weekend, I finally got my advanced camera lens kit. I got to try out my macro lenses over the weekend. This photo of my fiery dahlia was shot with a +4X zoom macro lens and of course, manual focus. Automatic focus doesn’t really work when I’m this close.

I think this is the closest close-up of a flower I’ve ever taken. I could never get this close with a normal lens if you’ve been following my blog and looking at my macro photos. F.Y.I, this picture has not been cropped.

I should try out the +10X zoom lens soon to see how much closer I can get.
