Blogging Insights # 62 — Your Blog in 2021

This week’s Blogging Insights – hosted by Tanya at Salted Caramel – asks:

How do you see your blog in 2021? What are your hopes and aspirations for your blog this year?

In 2021, I hope to expand my blog to other mediums beside writing and photography. I believe a few years back, I began exploring audio but back then, WordPress didn’t allow audio uploads. Therefore, I had to upload my audio files to another website such as YouTube and link it back to my blog, which was quite inconvenient.

With some of the gift card money I received last year, I bought a semi-professional microphone with a noise filter. I’ve already tried recording a few things which came out crisp and clean as though I was in a studio. I have always been into the audio medium but didn’t realize beginner professional microphone weren’t expensive at all. I used to use my computer’s microphone to record voices but the quality was crap. So hopefully, I’ll get to explore this medium in 2021.

I hope to hit 5,000 followers on my blog in 2021. I started this blog in 2013 and it’s taken me 7 years to gain 4,800 followers. Some might think I’m thinking small in term of goals but this actually is quite a big goal.

I have no doubt I will be busy this year as I have been for every year since I started my current job in 2018. Heck, I didn’t get off work until 8 PM Monday night. I am going to try my hardest to keep up writing and blogging and doing what I love in 2021.
