This is day 2 of my 4 day trip along the All-American highway (Highway 12). This is actually the first day touring Highway 12 as I spent yesterday in Capitol Reef.
I started the day with a gorgeous dramatic sunrise from the motel (photo to be shared in a later post), had a delicious buffet breakfast I did not it was included with my stay, and got to see some of the most beautiful landscape which I have to admit it’s even more beautiful than Capitol Reef.
This photo was from the Head of the Rocks Overlook. The road was challenging – full of sharp curves and slopes – I had to practice driving my car with a manual shift. It is among my favorites because it shows the road I had driven to get to this spot.
Onto Day 3…
Stunning photograph. Such topography.

Where is Highway 12 located?

It’s a 120-mile stretch scenic highway in Central Utah between Capitol Reef National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park, at least that’s what Google would say but it actually goes all the way to Red Canyon state Park which is about 10 or 15 miles west of Bryce Canyon.
