Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #173: Interesting Architecture

This week, on Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #173, Tina invites everyone to share some interesting architecture.

In looking for inspiration for this topic, I turned to Tina’s first image of the skyscrapers of Shanghai. Though I have never been to Shanghai, I actually came close to taking the trip once long ago. The skyscrapers reminded me of my day trip to Hong Kong in 2018.

Due to some important paperwork I forgot to complete during my trip to China in 2017, I had to make another trip in 2018. That time, I only stayed for two weeks as I needed to come back to look for new employment. I spent one of those days in Hong Kong getting my eyes checked and choosing a new pair of prescription eyeglasses.

While waiting for the glasses, my aunt and I wandered around the city. I must admit, having been to Hong Kong 4 times, that was the most I’ve seen of the city. We rode the subway and made out our way to Hong Kong Park near Victoria Peak where we hopped on the tram and made our way to the top.

This is one of the reasons I love visiting large cities – getting to see the unique style of the skyscrapers. Each one is so unique and seeing it from above looks kinda like a masterpiece.

  1. You’re so fortunate to have seen Hong Kong. We had an opportunity with a Viking cruise in China to add on Hong Kong, but thought we couldn’t afford it at the time. Oh, how I wish we had taken advantage of that opportunity when it came our way. Thanks for a beautiful post this week!
