“You can reach spiritual enlightenment after 5 days of fasting,” she’d heard from somewhere or perhaps, she had dreamed it. It doesn’t matter, she thought, I’m willing to try anything.
“Your brain will become sharper the longer you fast.” Can a person really go so many days without food though?
Eager to try, she decided to rent a cabin in the woods for an extra long weekend. She felt great after 2 days of just drinking water and knew she could get past 3 days. By the 5th day though, she was huddling in the corner, muttering, hallucinating, and starving .

Nirvana will be the gallon of double chocolate fudge deluxe ice cream with dark chocolate syrup that she devours on day six! 😉

And there we have it. Spiritual enlightenment consists of “huddling in the corner, muttering, hallucinating, and starving.” Interesting take on the prompt. 🙂

Haha! 😀 😀 😀 Sometimes, doing those things can bring clarity, even if it seems strange.

We all try something to improve our wellbeing, some people go too far. Perhaps it is the loneliness that gets you first.

She’d heard about the fasting idea somewhere, or maybe not. I think she should have been a bit more careful with her background research before embarking on such a tortured path to nirvana. I really like this story. Great ending – I’d have been a drivelling mess long before two days without food.

I know I heard it on YouTube. I don’t know about her but it’s sure dangerous. I used to intermittent fast and I was an emotional mess.

All things in moderation but nirvana is so tempting!

That’s a completely unrealistic goal. I hope she asked a doctor first
