What two totally normal things become really weird if you do them back to back?
I would say work and sleep but it would be straining, not weird. I’ve done it before. Not fun.
What is something that you just recently realized that you are embarrassed by, that you didn’t realize embarrassed you?
Probably the way I squint at the screen sometimes. My eyes get beady and my teeth bare and clenched. I’ve always been aware but I’ve always ended up doing up unconsciously because for some reason, things are so blurry sometimes.
The thing I’m embarrassed about is my teeth. I hate my teeth. They are crooked and there are some pretty big gaps. It’s the reason why I always only smile with my mouth closed.
If Australia (including New Zealand and Tasmania – which I KNOW are different countries); the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, and Brazil or Italy were represented by one food, which would it be for each?
The UK – Fish and Chips
USA – donut
Germany – pretzels
Ireland – cheese
Italy – pizza
I don’t know of any regional foods from Brazil or Australia, so I’m going to skip those.
What might happen if Goldilocks and the Three Bears were set in modern times?
The three bears would have an alarm set up which would warn them of any intruders while Goldilocks would be a social media influencer with millions of followers witnessing her trespassing into the bears’ home.
Where was the most most embarrassing or inappropriate place you’ve passed audible gas?
Yikes! You can tell how embarrassing this is because I can still remember it to this day. It was a few months after I came to the U.S. I was in class. I was young and didn’t know the manner of this new country. I didn’t know whether one should hold their farts or let it rip but in my defense, it was completely involuntary. Anyway, I am still embarrassed to this day and couldn’t believe I did that in the classroom.
Thanks for Sharing Your World Yinglan! I have/had the same ’embarrassed about’ as you and I can say that as you age, the emphasis on a beautiful smile will lessen. I still have trouble smiling with teeth showing, but I care less because I think “At least I’ve got teeth.” A lot of folks my age don’t and their smile IS beautiful, but it’s also fake because those pearlies (slang for teeth over here, which you might have known already) are dentures. 😁 I’m sure nobody thought anything of your gas passed episode. Over here it’s pretty casual around such things, UNLESS you run into someone who thinks natural bodily functions like that are nasty. It still comes from the same place so I don’t know what those folks have to be snooty about. Bravo on the food of the nation … you are the first not to say “burgers” when thinking of the USA. Doughnuts are much more preferable to people like me! 🍩 Have a great week! 🙂
