Jeanie steps back and looks at her flower stand, sighing. “Well, today’s the day, whether you’re ready or not. I’m going to find you all some nice families.”
She has loved these flowers almost like they were her own children, not that she has any. Swiping the tears from her eyes, she sniffs. “I just want to say, I’m proud of you. You have come so far to be on your own – getting a vendor license, coming out to the flee market, doing your thing.”
“Okay, now that I’ve said all there to be said, let’s get this thing started.”
