This is the Rideau River in Ottawa, Canada. The water was perfectly still that morning that it was like a smooth looking glass. I shot this photo with my phone as mom was being grumpy again and I didn’t have the time to take the camera out of my backpack.

This photo was also taken a few seconds before checking Google Maps to find out we went the wrong way. We should’ve gone right, not left, when we exited the motel to get to Parliament Hill. Thankfully, we didn’t walk too far.

This water surface looks quite smooth though it might be a completely different story underneath.
