Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #262: Framing Your Photos

Happy Sunday! Amy from the blog – The World is a Book… – is the lovely hostess for this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge and this week’s theme is all about Framing.

We usually visit the Utah State Capitol during early spring to see the cherry blossoms. Mom would always say, “Why should we spend all that money to go to Japan or Washington D.C. to see cherry blossoms when we can see it 30 minutes away?” I would usually roll my eyes when she’s not looking because seriously, can one really compare the beauty of cherry blossoms?

Anyway, I was walking down the path when I suddenly noticed the two cherry trees framed the Capitol building beautiful. I had to walk a few steps backward like someone had just did a double-take but I got the photo.

In my opinion, there are only so many ways one can take photos at Mount Rushmore. Most people would probably opt for a photo of all presidents but after a few snaps, that gets boring pretty fast. I shot this from down below, along the short interpretative trail. I think it framed Washington beautifully.

Finally, I will leave you with the picture of Pennsylvania State Capitol and a fountain near New Jersey State House.
