#SundayStills: Animals and #Fences

As I sit here in my cold bedroom writing this post, I realized, I haven’t explored anywhere new in Utah this year. Usually, I would usually go to at least one place I either never been or haven’t been in a while each year.

This photo of this cute little kid was taken in the town of Tropics – located about 20 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park – when we visited 2 years ago in May 2021. My aunts, uncle, and I stayed in a cabin while we took our time to explore Bryce Canyon. I quite enjoyed this town and as long as one keeps away from the busy main thoroughfare, it’s quite charming and idyllic.

We were wandering the backstreets when we saw this herd of goats and sheep. As soon as this little guy saw us, it began trotting toward us. From the back, a large goat look up at us, as if assessing a threat, before returning to its task at hand – eating. I guess mama goat is a bit protective of its young.

This is from that same trip. I guess fences come in different forms.

I wish I’ve visited Capitol Reef National Park this year, I’d imagine it’d be greener than usual given the record-amount of snow and water we’ve had this year. I’ve visited the park twice so far and it’s has not gone down on my ranking of favorite National parks.

I do hope I will get to explore more of the US next year.

    1. Thank you. I’ve never stayed at a cabin prior to my 2021 trip but after staying in a couple of cabins along Hwy 12 – the hwy that runs between Capitol Reef and Bryce – I feel a cabin is better than a motel room in many ways.

      1. Haha, yes, that horse was persistent and it didn’t help that he wasn’t afraid of people and that my aunt was courageously petting him. 😄
I have been trying and partially struggling with the story. I guess the creative mind is kinda blocked when one is sick. 🤧 I’m feeling better now and I am going to finish that story no matter what. Is there a date in November you’re thinking of?
