1. Do you prefer a duvet, quilt or sheets and blankets on your bed?
My mattress has a pad and a sheet over it and then I am usually enough with a comforter but this autumn has been tricky. I open the window just a slit and the room will get so cold in the middle of the night that I need an extra blanket but when I close the window, it’s too hot and stuffy to sleep. It’s never been this tricky.
2. Do you sleep with one or two pillows?
It’s weird. I sleep with one pillow at home but two when I’m traveling and staying in hotels.
3. Do you prefer a single, double, or king-size bed?
Ha, I wish I have a king-size bed but it won’t fit in my room. I used to have a queen-size bed but I could barely move around the room so I had to down-size after started working from home. I redecorated my room with a double (full-size) bed and brand-new Ikea furniture and moved the old bed into the basement and gave away this old second-hand chest of drawers.
4. In the winter, do you have a hot water bottle or an electric blanket?
I usually don’t need that stuff unless the furnace stopped working or something. If I did need that stuff, I will grab a pair of hand warmers I keep in my nightstand. Those things can keep warm for 12 hours, much better than any hot water bottle.
5. Fun question: have you ever slept in a hammock?
Nope and given my anxiety, I’m not sure I want to.

Thanks for joining in. The times we’ve stayed in B&Bs or hotels, the pillows have never passed muster. The closest we came to comfort was at a Premier Inn where the pillows had labels telling you how firm or soft they were. Duvet for me, double bed, two pillows, and no hot water bottle of electric blanket. Don’t think I could even get in a hammock. let alone sleep in one.

Ah, pillows with labels… sounds fancy to me. I’ve never seen those.

Only washing instruction labels I’m afraid.

must add that the label for firmness was more like a ‘sash’
