What type of posts do you like to write?
What is the type of writing you’re most comfortable in? Do you push yourself out of your comfort zone by trying new genres?
If you asked me this question a few years ago, I would’ve answered, “all kinds of posts,” because back then, it was true, I wrote all kinds of posts. Back in 2017, I would start the day with either a Thought of Day, Humor of the Day, or a Photo of the Day post. I got lots of views and people seem to like those.
Why did I stop doing those posts?
I stopped doing them because they are not what this blog is about. My blog isn’t about posting a picture and call it a day. There’s a reason I named my blog – This is Another Story – because it’s a blog about stories and stories is what I’m here to tell, whether real or fiction.
It took me nearly a decade of blogging to figure out the kind of things I like to write about and they are stories. I enjoy telling stories whether it’s about my life and photos or someone in my head. I do try to push myself out of my comfort zone at times.
Currently, I’m experimenting with Lightroom and trying different things to edit my photos and I’ll admit that I like the recent photo edits from my trip to Japan because they look like landscape photos to me and not just photos of popular tourist attractions in Japan. With these edits, it really helps enhance the storytelling aspect.

Well I enjoy your stories and pictures very much.

Most of my current photos have been edited in Lightroom. The only ones that have not been edited in Lightroom are the ones taken with my phone.

I love your posts and photos!
Istill haven’t figured out what kind of posts I like to write on my blog but as far as fiction writing, I have tried my hand at writing a two-part fan fiction Western and a children’s book, among the contemporary romance novels I’ve written. I’m still a work in progress, I guess.

Thank you. In my experience and opinion, fiction writing is always a work in progress. It’s not final until it’s published.

So what do I do if I feel like I’m the work in progress?

Do we all feel like that sometimes? I know I do and I have no idea what to do about it.
