Please Note: this is 100% fiction.
Taser and big stick by my side, I gulped and knocked on the door. “This is Officer Rogers from Laketown PD, conducting a welfare check.”
I never liked this part of the job – going out to do welfare checks at night. The dark always creeped me out, especially being someone with nyctophobia. Of all the professions in the world, why would pick beat cop? Why Rogers?
Attempt to shake the fear from my system, I cleared my throat and knocked again as the door crept slightly ajar. “What the…” I muttered as my jaw dropped and eyes grew wide. “Holy…”

😄😄😄 I know, right? I couldn’t think of an ending for this story but I know my brain will now send me down a spiral trying to find an answer for this one.

If you don’t tell us, we’ll all think the worst – that’s human nature. Very suspenseful.

I did a three-part sequel to one a while ago, 100 words a piece. Quite a challenge!

I did one of those a few years back for another flash fiction challenge, until I got a comment from the prompt host told me to stop using the photo prompt for serial. It sort of caused me to lose inspiration to do that.

Wow, that’s harsh. I did the sequel because readers wanted to know what happened next. I hadn’t a clue lol, but played around with a few ideas. I think I used another photo prompt in one of the sequels.

I try to do sequels now and then but only to conclude the story, never the long serials again.

I only did 3 sequels because with a 100 word limit, it couldn’t be told in less.
